It is an air purification company’s top priority to provide products that improve indoor air quality and protect against harmful particles and pathogens. That is why we were thrilled to receive the latest laboratory test results from Innovative Bioanalysis, an accredited airborne pathology laboratory in California on our Aura Air purifiers.
The results showed a 99.997% removal rate of respiratory syntactical virus (RSV) in 60 minutes. RSV is a highly contagious respiratory virus that can cause serious respiratory infections in young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.

Symptoms of RSV can range from mild to severe, and can include coughing, sneezing, runny nose, and difficulty breathing. In severe cases, RSV can lead to bronchiolitis (inflammation of the small airways in the lungs) and pneumonia (inflammation of the lungs). It can also worsen pre-existing respiratory conditions such as asthma.
With the 2023 tripledemic (RSV, Flu and Covid-19), it's more important than ever to take proactive measures to protect ourselves and our families from respiratory illnesses. While social distancing and wearing masks are crucial, it's also important to consider the air quality in our homes and public spaces.
Air purifiers can play a vital role in reducing the spread of RSV and other respiratory viruses. By removing harmful particles and pathogens from the air, air purifiers create a safer breathing environment for everyone.
But not all air purifiers are created equal. It's important to choose a product that provides performance metrics on the aspects of indoor air that are most important to you. When tested in a chamber about the size of a small bedroom on a single release of virus particles, Aura Air was able to achieve a log 4 reduction, or 99.997% removal.

In addition to protecting against RSV, the high-efficiency filters in Aura air purifiers also help improve overall indoor air quality by removing other pollutants such as pollen, mold fragments, pet dander, and smoke. This can have numerous health benefits, such as the removal of allergy and asthma triggers, but always keep in mind that no air purifier can totally prevent transmission of a virus and other layers of protection will make your strategy more effective.
This testing from Innovative Bioanalysis shows how our purifiers can add a layer of protection against RSV and other harmful particles and pathogens, and you can read their whole report here.
In these unprecedented times, it's more important than ever to prioritize the air quality in our homes and public spaces. By choosing an air purifier that is proven to be effective, you can create a safer, healthier breathing environment for you and your loved ones.
