It has 70% more activated carbon than our previous filter, H14-grade HEPA media, and a redesigned, and the next generation patent-pending photocatalyst that clears toluene at more than 1.5 times the rate of the current Air Pro filter in chamber testing. It also pairs with PECOAir’s sensors, so Auto Protect can ramp the filter when the air actually changes.

Advanced fits PECOAir and PECOAir+ only. Air Pro, Air Mini and Air Mini+ continue to use Tri-Power filters, which will remain available.

The filter in your PECOAir+ air purifier is an essential component that helps remove pollutants and other harmful particles from the air. Over time, individual filters can become clogged with these particles, which can reduce their ability in cleaning the air. As a result, it's important to replace the filter periodically to ensure that your air purifier is working at peak performance and you’re breathing in clean, healthy air.

Molekule recommends replacing the air filter in the PECOAir or PECOAir+ every six months, depending on usage. This is to ensure optimal performance and continued removal of pollutants from the air. However, if you use the device in a particularly polluted environment, it may be necessary to replace the filter more frequently. The filter replacement indicator will notify you when it is time for a replacement.

PECO technology uses a proprietary nanocatalyst to destroy pollutants at the molecular level. UV-A light energizes the catalyst, initiating a chemical reaction that generates hydroxyl radicals. These highly reactive free radicals break down airborne organic pollutants—including VOCs, viruses, bacteria, mold, allergens, and odors—leaving behind harmless trace elements like carbon dioxide and water vapor.

The Air Pro PECO-HEPA Tri-Power Filter is designed to remove a wide range of pollutants in your living spaces. It can effectively capture and destroy allergens such as pet dander, dust mites, and pollen, as well as pollutants like mold, bacteria, and viruses. Additionally, the filter can remove harmful gasses and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde and benzene, which can be released from household items and building materials.
