Molekule is dedicated to applying scientific innovation to solving some of the biggest problems of our time, starting with the global health crisis of air pollution. The American Lung Association recently shared the top most polluted cities in the US, revealing that 4 in 10 Americans live in polluted air. As the need for clean air becomes greater, we are committed to bringing cutting-edge science to people’s homes and communities with the immense opportunities afforded by our air purification solution PECO. In order to further our mission, we have reached a new milestone: We are officially opening our first manufacturing facility, Molekule PECO Zero, a groundbreaking new factory in Florida.

This is a huge step for us. The chosen location of the factory, in the Tampa Florida area, was intentional, as this is also where our research and development team is located. The proximity between PECO Zero and R&D will allow us to accelerate our innovations in clean air technology and deliver results to our customers and the world at an exceedingly fast pace for science.

We couldn’t be more proud to bring a critical part of our company back to its origins. My father and Molekule Co-Founder Dr. Yogi Goswami developed what is now known as Photo Electrochemical Oxidation, or PECO, at the University of Florida and University of South Florida over a period of 20 years of research and development. Jaya Rao, COO and Co-founder at Molekule and I are both University of Florida alumni.

We’ll use our new PECO Zero factory to build out our innovation team to create a hub for research, development and manufacturing. With our strong local ties, we’re committed to bringing economic growth to the state and expect to create hundreds of job opportunities for Florida residents, which will range from manufacturing to R&D for our patented PECO technology and other material science advancements. Adding further concentrated research to our PECO technology enables us to continue destroying allergens, mold, bacteria, viruses, and airborne chemicals from the air we breathe.

The challenges of indoor air pollution and the opportunities afforded by our solution PECO are great. With the opening of PECO Zero, we’re confident that our innovative and groundbreaking technology will not only have a lasting impact on Florida but on the global health crisis of air pollution.
